You can connect Two Laptops (Or desktops) using One Static IP and one internet connection by 3 ways: First one is very simple, just configure your Laptops IP setting with same static IP. In this case you will not be able to use internet in the both laptop at the same time. You have to switch the Ethernet cable between two laptops when required. This is the Easiest one to do. The Second option is to use a wireless router. in this case you will be able to use internet in both laptops at the same time. you need to give the static IP to the router, and each of your laptops will be assigned a private IP. The third option is most difficult one, in this case use a shared Ethernet connection to connect both of your laptops. As both of them have same IP at the same time, so two laptops need to communicate with each other. For that you have to setup a peer-to-peer network (wireless) between two Laptops. Conclusion: The second option of using a wireless router is the best option as and wireless router will cost you around Rs-2000 and the setup process can be done within 5 minutes.
